Who we are

This website is run by Reliable Local IT in Tonbridge, Kent. We are the data controller for the personal information described here. You can contact us at info@tonbridgeit.co.uk or on 01732 495505.

What we collect

When you use the contact form we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, optional phone number and the message you write. If you email or call us we also keep what you tell us in order to help you.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

  • To reply to your enquiry and provide our services. This is necessary to take steps at your request before a contract, or to carry out a contract with you.
  • To keep a record of our communications and run our business. This is our legitimate interest in running a small business properly.
  • To meet legal and accounting obligations where they apply.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for up to 12 months if they do not lead to work. If you become a customer, we keep records for as long as we provide services and for as long afterwards as the law or good record keeping requires.

Who we share it with

We only share information with service providers who help us run the website and the business, such as our web hosting and email providers, and only so they can provide that service. We may also share information where the law requires it.

Cookies

This website uses only the cookies it needs to work: a session cookie and a security token that protect the contact form against misuse. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. Our Facebook page is run by Facebook, which has its own privacy policy.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and in some cases ask for it in a portable format. To exercise a right, contact us using the details above.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
